Alopecia is a auto-immune disease resulting in loss of hair on the scalp and elsewhere on the body. This common but challenging disease
affects approximately 1.7% of the population overall, including more than 5 million people in the U.S. alone. I was 28 years old when
I loss my hair due to Alopecia Areata.
The fact that much of the public is still not familiar with alopecia, the disease can have a
profound impact on ones life especially women and it’s unacceptable.
My mission and vision is to continue to raise awareness about
Alopecia. That is why I CHOOSE to not let this run me into hiding and to wear my bald head proud. My goal is to encourage other women
to know SELF, and ultimately accept this adversity that life has placed into their space
BBiBBy is praising the beauty of women, and WOMEN who struggle with self LOVE, inner PEACE, self ACCEPTANCE and lack of self-ESTEEM.
